USPA NEWS - The Cite internationale universitaire de Paris welcomes nearly 7,000 students and researchers from more than 150 nationalities to its site. In the context of COVID-19, it continues to welcome residents of all nationalities present on its campus.

“¢ Closure of collective spaces in the houses of the Cité internationale (convivial spaces, workspaces, libraries, etc.) and restricted access to the kitchens;
“¢ The CROUS interrupts its catering activity at the University Restaurant, including take-out sales from Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Alternative solutions are being sought.

ONGOING COMMUNICATION TO RAISE AWARENESS, INFORM & REASSURE RESIDENTS The resident population is made up of students and researchers in university mobility, far from their families. In order to reassure them and support them during this difficult period, the Cité internationale: “¢ Set up a crisis unit on February 26, 2020 bringing together the members of the Management Committee and the Directors of houses; “¢ Ensures permanent communication to remind residents of the barrier actions, inform them of the latest developments: bilingual mailing campaigns (French-English), a dedicated email address ensuring 7/7 communication, a dedicated web page, "Live" Laurence Marion, general delegate, who informs residents and answers their questions on social networks; “¢ Strives to support residents so that they can have access to medical consultations, including teleconsultation; House managers and staff have been trained and given clear information on the protocol to be followed in the event of residents confined due to covid-19. The National Foundation has set up a “network of Covid-19 reference directors“ in all of its houses. These referents received action sheets containing the protocol and advice on good practice in alerting, informing and verifying cases of covid-19 among residents.
